Crafted Production

Everything you could ever want to know about cut and sew manufacturing — in one workshop.

This workshop offers an opportunity to learn about opening, growing, or partnering with crafted production cut and sew factories. Spend a week in North Carolina with the CTD and our manufacturing partners for a deep-dive into client and supplier relations, running an environmentally-friendly facility, production workflow, equipment and infrastructure, finding and retaining employees, operating a values-based facility, interacting with modern demand, and more. This class will feature live Q and A’s, factory tours, and tons of engagement as a group to brainstorm and problem solve for your new (or growing!) cut and sew.

How to set up your crafted cut & sew production in house!

My team and I were so impressed with all of the resources: the Manufacturing Solutions Center, the factories we got to visit, the cut and sews, information on co-ops and democratic workplaces—just the opportunity to sit and talk with people who are actually doing what we hope to do is invaluable.
